The Playbarn is an open access charity adventure playground that has been providing the local community with a safe and fun place for children and young people to play, since 1982. We are passionate about helping children grow, learn and play through a variety of activities, such as sports, art and an adventure playground .Our charity began with one goal in mind- to create a safe, fun and inclusive space for young people to explore and learn through play. Children and young people have the opportunity to explore and develop their social, physical and mental skills in a safe and secure environment. We also provide 1-1 care for young people with additional needs as our setting is fully inclusive. Empowering the youth of today is our ultimate goal and we strive to maintain the highest standards of safety and quality in all of our operations and are committed to building strong and lasting relationships with our community partners.

We are passionate about providing a safe and stimulating environment for young people from the local area. We believe that the best way to engage children is to give them the opportunity to choose activities and to be creative. That’s why we provide a wide range of activities, both indoors and outdoors, that are designed to capture their imagination.
Our team of experienced staff are always on hand to provide guidance and support to ensure that every child is getting the most out of their Playbarn experience.

Trips
We take the young people on a wide range of trips as we want to expand their experiences and build their confidence whilst having lots of fun. The children make everlasting memories with their friends and this has a great impact on their childhood, helping them to find new hobbies and interest. Our trips are not just restricted to local attractions as we travel to a wide range of places to give the children the opportunity to see and do things they wouldn't generally see in day to day life.
